KUNTARI

Grew up with and dedicated himself to the Classical Music for over 10 years, He started his career as a Jazz Artist which lead him to a wide range of evolving music exploration and his commitment to creativity. He has produces 15 albums/EPs and performances in Jazz, World Music, Neo-Classical, Electronic and Experimental Music in more than 15th country around the Globe.

His Live set performance has been Well-developed over the years, two of the most recent is an Electronic set combining various manipulated foley with howl shivering voices from Cornet and Organic set with Intense dynamic of heavy Ancient Rhythms of duo format.

His Organic set constantly experiment with Primal Voice producing animal mating calls sound with his Trumpet/Cornet mixed with a Rhythm of Banyuwangi’s Hadrah Kuntulan, and the Balinese-Chinese Sar Ping/Barongsai (lion dance) with tons variation of heavy rhythms. Intentionally neglected the notes, the music produced percussive tribal sound along with dark ambients.

KUNTARI’s album Larynx (2022) has been chosen as 2nd best album of the year of 2022 by Vice and Last Boy Picked album (2021) chose by Jakarta Post as best album of the year of 2021.
